Most people understand the importance of using HTML headers to organise content (both for visitors and for Google) but for those Rapidweaver users unschooled in the arts of coding, it’s always been frustrating that you can’t style the built-in headers effectively. Now – for £5.99 – you can.
Header X is a classic Doobox’ stack – it does one thing, very well. Drop Header X into a page and you can instantly assign it one of the six available header tags, choose a weight and then – important this – the way it aligns on desktop, tablet and mobile; you can then elect to have it pick up the theme colour or assign a custom colour of your own. Finally, set the break points for tablet and mobile and you’re done. This delivers a lightweight method of organising pages quickly and effectively in a way that follows best practice and is extremely easy to use. It also works well with Google fonts, either directly or via a free stack like Fontstack.
In the same file, Doobox also includes the Text X stack which is designed as a replacement to the standard text stack and offers the same features as Header X. It’s a neat combination which solves one of those niggly problems that seems to have been baked into Rapidweaver forever.
Header X is highly recommended.
